Dress Code
Students may wear khaki, navy, or jean bottoms, without holes. Shirts can be school tee-shirts bought online at https://www.mycompasschartershop.com/. Students can also wear polo shirts that are white, black, navy, hunter green, or maroon. Backpacks, even mini backpacks, are not permitted.

All students are expected to have paper, pencils, and a three ringed binder (may be a zipped binder) at all times.
6th-8th Grade:
- highlighters
- colored pencils
- 5 composition notebooks
- glue stick
- safety scissors
- calculator
- two 2" three ring binders
- One set of eight divider tabs
5th Grade:
- 4 folders with prongs
- 4 composition notebooks
- colored pencils
- markers
- glue stick

Bully Reporting
Students, parents, guardians, volunteers and other concerned individuals with knowledge of these incidents should submit a report in writing at the link below and/or contact the school administration immediately, anita.fine@compassmiddlecharter.net.
All school employees are required to report alleged violations. Reports can be made anonymously. Every reported act of bullying or harassment will be investigated and parents will be informed of the outcome.
Student Records Requests
Present and former student families may request student records by emailing the terminal operator, Adriana Vazquez, at adriana.vazquez@compassmiddlecharter.net. Please include the name of the person requestion information, the name of the student, and what specific information is requested. Student records are kept on file for five years after a student is no longer enrolled with Compass Middle Charter School.
Students INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS AND MATERIALS (PURE)
PURE Process
Since Compass Middle Charter School is on a Polk County Public School campus, Compass does utilize Polk County Public Schools internet filter and PURE Process. In order to enhance the focus of research and evidence based materials to be used with all students and to ensure that the products and professional learning provided by consultants is focused on Compass Charter priority professional learning needs, all external providers of professional learning must complete the Purchasing and Utilizing Resources Effectively (P.U.R.E.) review process. This process is used to ensure that instructional materials and programs provided by external consultants and vendors are aligned with Florida Standards and the Strategic Plan of Polk County Public Schools.
